My name is Kristen Vanhorn, and for the past two years I have had the privilege of working with Teacher’s Pet Rescue in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. Teacher’s Pet Rescue is a nonprofit organization (501C3) committed to rescuing dogs in need and helping them find safe, loving forever homes!! During this time, I have developed a deep passion for helping our dogs prepare for adoption and watching them thrive in their forever homes!!❤️🐾🐶

I am reaching out today to ask for your support in an exciting and meaningful initiative. My goal is to raise $5,000 to purchase a 12×12 shed that will serve as a dedicated meet-and-greet space for our dogs and potential adopters. The shed will be purchased from a local business, Triple S Farm Hauling LLC! Any extra funds will be used to furnish the shed and to make it an inviting setting on the inside, and for any vet bills Teacher’s Pet Rescue currently has! 🐶❤️

Currently, introductions often take place in environments that can be overwhelming—filled with barking dogs and constant activity. This new space would provide a distraction-free setting where families can truly connect with a dog they are considering welcoming into their home. The shed will be insulated, offering warmth during the colder months, and will provide a dry, comfortable space during inclement weather. Additionally, it will be handicap accessible, ensuring that everyone in our community has the opportunity to visit and interact with our dogs. 😊

This simple addition will make a significant impact—not only by improving the adoption experience but also by helping our dogs feel more relaxed and allowing their true personalities to shine!!!!!😊
