Dear Jessica KENLEY:

The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania’s legal department has reviewed your complaint. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you legal representation.

The ACLU of Pennsylvania is a privately funded non-profit organization that seeks to preserve and extend certain constitutional principles, most of which are found in the Bill of Rights. However, our office has only a small legal staff, making it difficult to accommodate every individual requesting our assistance.

We generally take only those cases in which the facts are not in dispute and, more importantly, in which there is a significant civil liberties issue. We give priority to those cases in which our participation can benefit a large class of people or lead to a change in the law.

Our decision in your case was based on these factors and should not be considered a legal judgment of the merits of your complaint. We encourage you to explore other channels to remedy your situation, such as hiring a private attorney.

Sincerely,

The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania

ACLU,

I understand your position. Are you saying that each of the hundreds of people in our community (Potter County, PA) that have been impacted by this man (District Attorney, Andy Watson) have to sue him individually for the wrongs against them?

That does not make any sense to me, and I am not a lawyer, but our claim does make the case for a Class Action Lawsuit.

Who On Earth Will Represent Us, If You Will Not?

Tell, me, please, so that I can call them immediately. I am positive, in fact, that you have better legal services at your disposal than I do, so please–fill me in on what to do here.

Our entire community has been impacted.

We might only be a few hundred people, but of course the police lied hand over fist in every story I am collecting about these people! Of course the facts are in dispute!

They lied, they were all in on it–the police, the fire department the DA, the CHURCH in town that runs this town–if you don’t treat corruption at the Source, for Potter County is a well-known training ground for state police cadets in Pennsylvania–then this keeps happening over, and over, and over again.

They lie on the stand as a standard practice.

They lie through their teeth and get away with it every time.

To win.

Here for decades.

To win a game and get money, while people suffer, and suffer, and suffer more.

Do you understand?

Somebody has to be the Source of the Problem.

You are treating a Symptom of the Problem.

Please, do better.

The reach of Andy Watson isn’t just people who live in Coudersport, this town wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for tourists, and the town motto is: “Come for Vacation, Leave on Probation.”

So.

You tell me.

Who on this Earth, should I call?

And might I also know, please, the number you use when deciding what is the  “large” number of people who will be impacted by our claim?

Is several hundred human beings not enough for you?

Because, I don’t know Who You Are, But I Am Trying To Change The World, not some silly law that some man made up so that they can arrest people now for nothing at all, and by checking a box that says, “Miscellaneous,” to get their hotel reservations, and their Facebook messages, and all of those things, provided to them by a “Court Order” that was signed by no one and did not exist.

Perhaps I am not being clear in my ask.

So I will ask again, and pretty please, and with a cherry on top?

Can you help us NOW?!

Please, just tell me specifically, because you have a legal team, in writing, what you want from me to make this happen, and I will do it.

I cannot tell the people of this town that the ACLU will not help us.

But I will publish your and my response on my online newsroom right now, as I am a reporter in this town, so thank you very much, and I hope you have a nice day.

Sincerely,

Jessica Kenley
