The Coudersport Senior Center will hold an OPEN HOUSE on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The Coudersport Senior Center, located at 200 Chestnut Street, provides a place where older adults can safely meet to gather for activities, have a sense of belonging, stay active, make friends and socialize to improve their quality of life. The Coudersport Senior Center is open Wednesday – Friday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. A nutritious lunch is provided for a donation with a prior reservation.

The Coudersport Senior Center is currently expanding their programs to encourage more older adults to attend. They have a well-established group of seniors who enjoy playing various card games each day. They have been painting rocks that will be placed in the Kindness Rock Garden at the Coudersport Arboretum. They also started having a craft day monthly and recently painted patriotic wooden wall hangings and floral door hangings that turned out very nice.

The Coudersport Senior Center also has bingo and will be starting a BingoCize exercise program which promotes simple exercises to improve mental and physical health. Various community speakers have also presented information at the Coudersport Senior Center. Applications for various programs for older adults are also available.

Volunteers are also needed to assist the Senior Center and to deliver Home Delivered Meals.

The public is encouraged to attend the Open House to see what is available and to learn about volunteer opportunities.

Lunch and refreshments will be served.
