SUV came down East Second hill westbound, crossed, took out a pole, and crashed into the JVB drivethru.

You can see power lines on road.

East Second will be closed for a while.

WPP is not even here yet.

This morning at 06:28, Tioga County alerted our department for a vehicle accident near the 200 block of E Second Street. Chief 48 and Chief 48-30 went responding just after dispatch. While responding, county advised the power line was down across the roadway and a vehicle was in a building.

Chief 48-30 arrived first and confirmed dispatch, with the driver self extricated and the roadway shut down.

Coudersport EMS, being next door to the crash, immediately responded and started treatment of the driver.

Engine 48-1 and Rescue 48 responded with crews securing the vehicle power, doing utility control and providing traffic control.

Fire Police shut down the roadway until Penn DOT put a detour in place.

PSP and Kightlingers assisted on scene with the investigation and removal of the vehicle.

Bank management responded to the scene. The building is severely damaged and will need repair.

All units returned shortly after 0745 and were in service

An extended closure will be in place until the power company completes their work.

–The woman driving the SUV allegedly fell asleep at the wheel, and this is how this accident happened. Monarch Media has not independently verified these findings.
