Westfield, Pa. — A 65-year-old man riding a bicycle was killed in a collision with a truck Wednesday evening. 

State police say Jesse A. Mead of Knoxville was biking in Deerfield Township, Tioga County just before 6 p.m. on June 10 when he was struck and killed by a pickup truck at the intersection of State Routes 49 and 249. 

Mead “entered the roadway at an unsafe time” moments before the collision, Trooper Garret Smith reported. 

Mead was pronounced dead at the scene and next of kin was notified.
