Coudersport, PA–The new Dunkin’ Donuts in Coudersport is already making an impact in the community — not just through coffee and donuts, but through a new partnership designed to help local senior citizens.

Owner Rahul Prajapati said the restaurant, which officially opened on March 1, 2026, is donating 10% of its profits on the first Monday of every month to the Potter County Senior Center.

“We learned about them, and they were looking for some help, and we thought it’d be a good idea to help the community,” Prajapati said during an interview on May 14th with Monarch Media. “They are the ones supporting us, so we have to support them. It’s like a two-way [street].”

The Potter County Senior Center, a nonprofit organization, provides activities, transportation, social opportunities, and support services for local seniors throughout the area.

Prajapati, who also owns Dunkin’ locations in Mansfield and Troy, Pennsylvania, said he has been operating stores in the Mansfield region for about 10 years before deciding to expand into Potter County.

When asked why Coudersport, Prajapati said, “We traveled here a few times. I like the nature, so I come out here in the summer,” he said. “I thought we could make it work.”

When asked how the store has been doing so far, Prajapati said that the response from the community has been positive.

“It’s going great,” Prajapati said. “People are liking it.”

Prajapati explained that giving back to the community is something his business believes strongly in across all of its locations.

“That’s how we run our other stores too,” he said. “We like to do our best giving back to the community.”

The new Dunkin’ is also planning a formal grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Coudersport Chamber of Commerce in the near future.

For local residents looking to support both a new business and area seniors, grabbing a coffee on the first Monday of the month may now help do both.
